The Mojito is a refreshing cocktail originating from the island of Cuba and was popularized outside of Cuba by the American writer Ernest Hemingway. In addition to the classic Mojito, made with rum, lime, ice, sugar, soda or sparkling water, and spearmint or mint, there are some variations that use basil for its preparation.
